23.05.12

I have moment when I hammer away at projects; earlier this year I was endlessly decorating a couple of the rooms in the flat. After that I was updating a movie database for all the clips that I have. Just at the moment I’ve been thinking about the site; adding a few bits like the Google Search and I think I’ll do a general tidy-up. I did, whilst playing with ideas, go through a “Gothic” dark and sinister trial and then started griping about things and added a “Shit List” menu button. I do, however, like this particular Crystallis look and, being a little less stressed for a moment, I may play with a few wizzy-things just to pass some time.

My current thoughts, along with the above (and apart from work!) are very much geared towards Silverstone. The new F1 season is well under way and Fox and I said last year that we’d like to have a better camera so I’ve been looking at some possibilities. A digital SLR would be The Choice but we’re talking a lot of dosh here so I’m currently contemplating a Fujifilm Finepix with a 30x digital zoom. We may still get blurry shots but they’ll be close-up blurry shots!

On the forefront of even these thoughts though is The Tent. I have my eyes on one and hoping to get it this coming weekend. More later as my chicken (not my goose) is cooked!

23.06.10 - The Graduate

I’m well proud. Fox got the results today for his degree course; 3 B grades and 2 C grades which, when they’ve been through the ratifying process, will result in an excellent degree. I have every idea that Fox has no idea how proud everyone is of him. All the folk at work were saying how good it was. Grandparents chuffed.

The boy did good. Good on ya mate!

15.06.10 - WordPress Away!

WordPress is a really cool tool; easy to set up as a journal, great indexing and especially neat if you want people to leave comments. It was, however, difficult to make it look as though it were part of Crystallis. Also I had to turn off the comments as the main bulk were spam. Bah - I HATE spammers!

So anyway, here we are and I’ll see if this works any better…it’s basically just a quick insight to my grumblings on the world and, with luck, a small injection of my quirky sense of humour if you catch me on a good day!

Currently I’m playing with Crystallis; just updating a few things and trying to get a little more working within its walls. Crystallis nearly went out the window last month…despite all the work that Fox and I had put into it it seemed like I was just doing it as a hobby and not with any “real” purpose. Then I thought about it…that’s exactly right. It’s a hobby. It’s a bit like collecting used condoms or Heinz 57 soup cans…yup - it’s fairly pointless.

But I like doing it.
