Most of us are familiar with the seven Chakras of the body. Although these Chakras are the main energy centres, we actually have over 70,000 other smaller Chakras scattered throughout the body like stars.
While the Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third Eye & Crown Chakras are the most powerful, there are eight other notable Chakras that are worth understanding. These include:
God’s Head Chakra
The 12th Chakra & is located about 12 inches above the Crown Chakra. It’s believed to be very similar to the idea of a halo & when activated, the God’s Head Chakra helps to stimulate higher consciousness & the feelings of God energy flowing from within. When out of balance, it can manifest a feeling of being powerless or out of sync with life.
Soul Star Chakra
Located just above the Crown Chakra this energy centre governs the energy of past knowledge & karmic memory. When the Soul Star Chakra is activated it’s possible to have insights on past lives & different dimensions. Astral travel can also happen, as well as a desire to study the stars & planets. When out of balance, it can be difficult to manifest things & feel connected to the greater Universe.
Pineal Chakra
This Chakra can be found behind the eyes in the centre of the brain. The Pineal Gland has long been considered sacred & is often called the seat of consciousness. The Pineal Chakra activates the energy of the Pineal gland, which helps to stimulate spiritual awareness & feelings of divinity. When in balance, it can help to access hidden realms, communication with Spirits & feelings of being more in touch with our inner self. It’s also often activated on the lightworker journey. An out of balance Pineal Chakra can manifest as an inability to think without reassurance, constant feelings of fear about the state of the world & being closed off to intuitive messages.
Cerebellum Chakra
The Cerebellum Chakra is located at the back of the neck, where the neck & head meet. This Chakra is known as the “well of dreams” & is said to help us access hidden realms, creative ideas & our soul contract. When this energy centre is strong, it manifests as feeling in touch & inspired by your dreams. It can also help us to see things for what they are, without allowing judgements to interfere. An out of balance energy centre can manifest as clouded judgement, always seeing the negative side of things & an inability to tap into our intuitive voice.
Thymus Chakra
Also called the Higher Heart Chakra, it can be found between the throat & heart area. When in balance, it can help to access love of the Divine & of the self. Helping us to feel the gratitude & see beauty in everyday things. An unbalanced Chakra can manifest as narrow-mindedness or an inability to accept differing points of view. The Thymus Chakra also helps us to connect our heart energies to our words so we can communicate more empathically & compassionately.
Sacred Heart Chakra
Located just below the Heart Chakra & slightly to the left, this Chakra works with the energy of the heart centre & helps to expand our consciousness & feelings of unconditional love. A balanced Sacred Heart Chakra helps us to feel confident & secure with our direction in life. It also helps to expand intuitive feelings & clarity when it comes to messages from unseen worlds. Out of balance, it can manifest as confusion, lack of empathy & inability to see both sides of the story.
Core Star Chakra
Can be found above the Sacral or second Chakra, right near the diaphragm. The Core Star Chakra represents the “study” of the soul & the pursuit of esoteric knowledge. Balanced, this Chakra helps us to understand our role in this world & our soul purpose. When out of balance however, it can cause feelings of disconnect. To find balance, studying spiritual wisdom & metaphysics can help, as can meditation exercises that focus on breathing.
Earth Star Chakra
Located 11 inches beneath our feet – this is the energy centre that helps connect us to Mother Earth. When this Chakra is in balance it allows us to feel connected to the planet & connected to our Earthly journey. When out of balance, this Chakra can manifest feelings of wanting to return “home” – being out of touch with the planet, cycles of nature & the environment. Grounding exercises & spending time in nature are a great way to help align & balance the Earth Star energy centre.
