Many ancient cultures treated bathing as an sacred healing art. These ancient bathing rituals grew from the understanding that water is an elemental force that has great power to heal. In this bathtime ritual, I hope you’ll find inspiration to add a sacred, healing dimension to your bath time. Even just choosing one or two elements from this ritual will be enough to help you feel as though you’re giving some love back to yourself:

Ritual Recipe:

Candle:   Flowers:  Rose, Lavender or Geranium essential oil, flower petals, Rose Quartz tumble stones, Pink Himalayan Rock or Epsom Salts

Start your ritual by cleansing the space and all your ingredients with Palo Santo or Sage, the air in your bathroom will benefit from the energetic cleanse. After cleansing, light your candle to create a soothing atmosphere. For a deeper beauty bath, add some flower petals to the water.

To raise your sense of smell have a beautiful relaxing oil burning, the rose and geranium oil will do the trick nicely. As the aroma fills the air, you’ll fill yourself enter into a deeper relaxed state, visualise the scent travelling up your nose, down into your chest and into your heart centre. You could also add a few drops of the oil into your bath water and some of the Pink Himalayan Rock, they are naturally healing and a great way to remove toxins from the skin.

Mindfully place your pieces of Rose Quartz around the bath, as you do this imagine they are surrounding you with loving energy. Rose Quartz is also perfect to place in the water, if you would like its loving energy in your bath water, perfect to prepare you for a night of beautiful sleep.

Once you’re in the bath, close your eyes and mindfully connect with the sense of being, take a moment of gratitude for this moment, imagine the crystals surrounding you are holding you in a loving embrace, bringing a deep sense of calm, allow yourself to let go and feel supported.

When you step out of your bath, end your ritual with gratitude, for the water, the flowers, the crystals, the oils and the time to restore yourself..
